Ronald D. Atteberry, 65 of Warrensburg, formerly of Macon, passed away in his residence at 2:10 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011.
A time of visitation to celebrate Ron's life will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. Interment will be on Wednesday at the South Macon Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Central Illinois Cancer Care Specialists Charitable Fund or to St. John's Hospice. Ron was born December 9, 1946 in Decatur, the son of Ervin and Catherine (Coursey) Atteberry. He worked as a Cabinet Maker for Monarch Manufacturing in Sullivan, IL. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed drawing and woodworking. He married Gloria J. Pinkham on June 28, 1971.
Surviving is his wife: Gloria of Warrensburg; sons: Patrick Atteberry and his wife Lorie of Niantic, Christopher Atteberry and his wife Candi of Aurora, and Maverick Atteberry of Warrensburg; mother: Catherine Atteberry of Macon; grandchildren: Jacob Atteberry of Niantic and Logan Atteberry of Aurora; brother: Gerald Atteberry of Macon.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother: Mark.
